Chad Lowe's father is remembering his "sweet" granddaughter Fiona Lowe after her death at 13.
Charles "Chuck" Lowe, the father of actors Chad and Rob Lowe, shared a photo of Fiona smiling in a swimming pool in a Sept. 30 Instagram tribute.
"Rest in peace sweet Fiona," he captioned the image. His tribute came a day after Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, announced their daughter's death in a family statement to People magazine.
Fiona Hepler Lowe was the second daughter of actor Chad Lowe, and casting director Painter and the niece of fellow actor Rob Lowe.
Chad Lowe's family remembers Fiona as 'the light of our lives'
Fiona Hepler Lowe was remembered by her family as "a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance." The family's
statement described the love she shared with her parents and sisters.
"We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona," the family said, calling her "the light of our lives."
"Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time," the statement said.

A cause of death was not disclosed. The family included information about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in its statement, encouraging anyone experiencing mental health struggles to seek support.
Chad Lowe, 58, and Painter, 52, welcomed Fiona in November 2012. She was their second child, between older sister Mabel, 17, and younger sister Nixie Barbara, 10. The couple married in August 2010.

The younger brother of Rob Lowe, Chad Lowe earned an Emmy for playing Jesse McKenna on "Life Goes On." His other television credits include "Melrose Place," "ER" and "Pretty Little Liars." He has also directed episodes of several series, including "Bones" and "9-1-1."
