Like it. Don't love it. San Francisco opened last week's demolition of Miami with touchdowns on its first five possessions, as Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey did whatever they wanted. Still, the injuries piling up at receiver can't be ignored. Mike Evans has missed consecutive practices, while Demarcus Robinson joins De'Zhaun Stribling and Ricky Pearsall among the wounded. That puts even more pressure on McCaffrey and George Kittle. Arizona is difficult to gauge after shocking the Chargers, then losing handily to Seattle, but Jacoby Brissett generated only 95 passing yards in that defeat. Now he faces Nick Bosa, Fred Warner and a much tougher defense. It's a big number. It still might not
be big enough.

Divisional games are rarely as straightforward as they look, and I'm willing to take the points with Arizona. The 49ers are coming off a dominant win over Miami, but their next 'layup' comes with Denver waiting on deck in Week 4. That creates at least some potential for a lookahead spot. San Francisco is also dealing with a growing list of offensive injuries. Arizona has enough offensive firepower to take advantage and possibly get a backdoor cover, if not keep this within one score throughout.

Division this. Division that. How about a good team takes care of business against a bad team? The Niners have been rolling so far with dominant efforts against the Rams and Dolphins. While Miami didn't necessarily present a challenge, San Francisco showed no signs of rust following its return from Australia. The Niners simply have too much for the Cardinals to keep up with. Kyle Shanahan's team won't break a sweat on the road to 3-0, knocking off a division rival in convincing fashion.
Blake Schuster: 49ers -8.5
Here comes the injury bug for San Francisco once again, yet I still think they're at least two classes above Arizona right now. Beating the Chargers in Week 1 no longer looks so impressive. Getting waxed at home by Drew Lock's Seattle Seahawks really swung the pendulum back towards major concern in the desert. The Cardinals will get better as the year goes on, but, uh, not this week.
