For once, there wasn't a ton of chaos when it came to the top high school football teams in the southwest region.
One team suffered a loss and one nearly saw its long winning streak come to an end, but the best of the best in the region took care of business as many head into their off week.
Here are USA TODAY Sports' Week 7 Southwest Region Super 15 rankings.
1. Allen (TX)
Record: 5-0
Next game: Friday, Oct. 9, vs. McKinney, 7 p.m. CT
Ty Snell and the Eagles offense went off to the tune of 51 points in the first half as they cruised past Princeton (TX) 65-7. Snell was 7-of-10 passing for 122 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
2. Waxahachie (TX)
Record: 5-0
Next game: Friday, Oct. 9, vs. North Crowley (TX), 7 p.m. CT
Waxahachie's offense has been on a tear and South Carolina quarterback
commit Jerry Meyer III is a big reason why. On Friday, he was 20-of-28 passing for 376 yards and four touchdowns in a 61-14 win over Skyline (TX).
3. North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX)
Record: 5-0
Next game: Friday, Oct. 2, vs. Waxahachie (TX), 7 p.m. CT
In a crosstown showdown, Crowley (TX) had no answer for G'Yrell Smith. The Panthers’ senior back ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns as North Crowley kept its unbeaten streak alive with a 35-14 win.
4. North Shore (TX)
Record: 5-0
Next game: Thursday, Oct. 1, at Humble (TX), 7 p.m. CT
Make it back-to-back shutouts for the Mustangs. Javoris Taylor was 8-of-9 passing for 214 yards and two touchdowns in North Shore's 35-0 win over Atascocita (TX).
5. Bixby (OK)
Record: 4-0
Next game: Friday, Oct. 2, vs. Westmoore (OK), 7 p.m. CT
After scoring a season-low 13 points in their win over Jenks (OK), the Spartans found their offense in a 46-20 win over Mustang (OK). Led by 134 yards and three rushing touchdowns from Isaiah Butcher IV. Bixby ran for 462 yards and six touchdowns in the win.
6. Randle (Richmond, TX)
Record: 4-0
Next game: Thursday, Oct. 1, at South Houston (TX), 6:30 p.m. CT
It may seem like a typo, but Randle did beat Fort Bend Dulles (TX) 91-0 last Thursday night. Texas five-star running back commit Landen Williams-Callis was instrumental in the win, rushing for 234 yards and five touchdowns.
7. Broken Arrow (OK)
Record: 4-0
Next game: Friday, Oct. 2, vs. Edmond Memorial (OK), 7 p.m. CT
In a showdown with another unbeaten team, the Tigers left no doubt as they crushed Norman North (OK) 55-21.
8. Guyer (TX)
Record: 3-1
Next game: Friday, Oct. 2, at Braswell (TX), 7 p.m. CT
Carter Morgan was efficient both through the air and with his legs in a 35-7 win over Wakeland (TX). He passed for 296 yards and a touchdown while adding 56 more yards on the ground.
9. Prosper (TX)
Record: 4-1
Next game: Friday, Oct. 9, vs. Rock Hill (TX), 7 p.m. CT
The Eagles bounced back from their first loss of the season in a massive way. Prosper scored seven times on the ground en route to a 63-26 win over McKinney (TX).
10. DeSoto (TX)
Record: 3-2
Next game: Friday, Oct. 9, at Lancaster (TX), 7 p.m. CT
Texas Tech four-star running back commit SaRod Baker's had his moments of brilliance this season but last Friday, he was at his best. The future Red Raider ran for 212 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-6 win over Midlothian (TX).
11. Southlake Carroll (TX)
Record: 3-2
Next game: Friday, Oct. 9, vs. Northwest (TX), 7 p.m. CT
Dez Bryant Jr. it appears has taken the lead back role for the Dragons. The son of former Dallas Cowboys All-Pro receiver Dez Bryant had another two-touchdown night in a 49-6 win over Northwest Eaton (TX) rushing for a career high 128 yards.
12. South Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX)
Record: 2-2
Next game: Friday, Oct. 2, vs. Molina (TX), 7:30 p.m. CT
The offensive woes that plagued the Golden Bears in their first two games appear to be a thing of the past. South Oak Cliff rolled past Woodrow Wilson (TX) 63-14.
13. Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, CO)
Record: 5-1
Next game: Friday, Oct. 2, vs. Arapahoe (CO), 7 p.m. MT
Cherry Creek's winning streak may have technically come to an end, but on the actual field of play, the Bruins have continued their winning ways. Bentley Unruh threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns in the Bruins' 37-21 win over Cherokee Trail (CO).
14. Duncanville (TX)
Record: 2-3
Next game: Friday, Oct. 9, vs. Mansfield (TX), 7 p.m. CT
The Panthers likely took some frustrations out on Red Oak (TX) following a frustrating start to the season. Duncanville had no issues this week as they ran for 238 yards and six touchdowns as a team in a 42-0 win.
15. Carl Albert (Midwest City, OK)
Record: 5-0
Next game: Friday, Oct. 2, at Noble (OK), 7 p.m. CT
The Titans tied Bixby's 11-man record for consecutive wins on Friday, but that streak nearly came to an end. Kian Floranda connected on a 23-yard field goal with 10 seconds remaining to give Carl Albert a 17-16 win over Guthrie (OK) to extend the streak to 58 games.
