Fall has arrived, bringing with it the return of some beloved television shows. That includes CBS' “Fire Country,” which follows a man seeking a shortened prison sentence by working alongside Northern California firefighters as part of his release program.
The show returns for its fifth season on Friday, Oct. 9. The series stars Diane Farr, Jordan Calloway, Jules Latimer, Kevin Alejandro and Max Thieriot, whose characters work to put out wildfires across the area.
Here’s what to know about Season 5 of “Fire Country” and how to watch.

When is the premiere?
The show premieres at 9 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 9 on CBS.
Viewers who subscribe to Paramount+ Premium can watch the show as it airs on television, while other plan holders can stream it on Paramount+ the following day,
CBS said.
Who’s starring in ‘Fire Country’?
“Fire Country” stars multiple returning characters:
- Diane Farr (“Numb3rs”) as Sharon Leone
- Jordan Calloway (“Black Lightning”) as Jake Crawford
- Jules Latimer (“Guilty Party”) as Eve Edwards
- Kevin Alejandro (“Arcane”) as Manny Perez
- Max Thieriot (“Bates Motel”) as Bode Leone
The show will also feature a performance from Grammy-nominated songstress INK, who has written for Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar. INK will perform during Season 5, Episode 3, CBS said.

This season, viewers will get to see crew members in action as they rescue multiple injured people from a sinkhole at a local founder’s day festival.
Other happenings at Cal Fire include a huge life change for Captain Jake Crawford and a warning from one crew member to another about a newly introduced character and the trouble he may bring.
"No one's the worst thing they've ever done," Captain Eve Edwards says in the trailer.
