Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer had a simple reason for why Philadelphia Eagles fans' taunting had no effect on him.
After the Cowboys' dominant 38-21 win on "Monday Night Football" in Philadelphia, Schotteneimer held a post-game press conference that was shorter than most of his other media appearances. The brevity of the presser had everything to do with the brevity of the head coach's answers. His response to Eagles fans' jeers was just four words.
"I didn't hear it," Schottenheimer said, according to DLLS.
The Cowboys coach also explained that he gave a peace sign to "other people" and was not responding to fans in Philadelphia. He said he couldn't hear their taunts because he was wearing headphones.

Most of Schottenheimer's answers were similarly concise, with few constituting more than a few words or a couple of sentences. Quarterback Dak Prescott told reporters in his own post-game media availability that Week 7 brought out a "definitely hungry, pissed off version of Schotty" because of "some noise about him," ostensibly generated by the media.
Asked directly if he was all right, Schottenheimer said, "I'm great. Excited for our guys."
The head coach's offense was a main reason for the Cowboys' Week 7 win as it generated 416 total yards and 38 points – the most points scored by any team besides the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. The win moved Dallas to 3-4 and 1.5 games behind the New York Giants (4-2-1) for first place in the NFC East.
