Jude Bellingham was been named England’s Men’s Player of the Year for the second consecutive year after his outstanding performances on the international stage.
Bellingham earned this prestigious honor after a remarkable summer at the 2026 World Cup. He netted seven goals, breaking the record for most goals scored by an Englishman in a single World Cup tournament.
Bellingham scored two crucial goals against Mexico, leading England to a thrilling 3-2 victory in the round of 16 and eliminating the co-host nation. He continued his outstanding form in the quarterfinals, netting both goals in a 2-1 win over Norway that propelled England into the semifinals.
Bellingham played a pivotal role off the bench as the Three Lions secured a third-place finish,
defeating France 6-4 in a high-scoring third-place playoff after a 2-1 semifinal loss to Argentina.
Reflecting on the award, Bellingham expressed his gratitude to the fans who voted for the honor on the official England app, calling it a tremendous privilege to be recognized for a second year running.
"It feels great," Bellingham said. "It's a huge honour to be recognised by the fans again. So not something you think about when you’re playing for your country, but it's obviously a beautiful little addition to the great summer we had, and the honour of playing for my country."
He said the accolade was the perfect way to cap off the summer with the Three Lions.
