How can you tell what condition each item is in before you buy it?
When items are donated, they're all thoroughly inspected. Each item is marked either Excellent, Great, or Good. Depending on the condition, each item will be a slightly different price.
The donated clothes are still bound by the Patagonia Ironclad agreement, which promises that if you are not satisfied with one of our products at the time you receive it, or if one of our products does not perform to your satisfaction, return it to the store you bought it from or to Patagonia for a repair, replacement or refund.

What is Worn Wear?
Worn Wear allows Patagonia users to trade in their old hiking gear which will then be resold on Patagonia’s website, or in the Chicago brick-and-mortar resale store. Those who trade-in items will get a Worn Wear Patagonia credit. If the items can’t be sold, shoppers can give their clothes back to be recycled or repurposed.
