FCS HBCU Coaches Poll: Alcorn State jumps into top 10 while top 5 remains intact

The Week 4 FCS HBCU Coaches Poll is out, and features some movers and shakers within the top 10.

For starters, Alcorn State catapulted itself into the top 10 with a 43-40 win in a thrilling shootout with Texas Southern. Grambling State dropped down four spots to No. 10. And there was a tie for No. 2 in the country between Alabama State and Jackson State.

No. 1 South Carolina State, meanwhile, continues to roll. The Bulldogs are now 5-0, having cruised to a 31-21 win over Bethune-Cookman, and now look ahead to Citadel on Oct. 3. They earned all 16 first-place votes.
