Chris Brown's ex is accusing him of "disturbing behavior" amid their ongoing legal battle over child support.
Diamond Brown said the singer, 37, has continuously harassed her and threatened her romantic partners while also "refusing" to provide sufficient financial resources to meet their 4-year-old daughter Lovely's "basic needs," according to an Oct. 1 declaration obtained by USA TODAY.
"I am trying everything I can not to have to resort to a Domestic Violence Restraining Order - and hoping that Christopher agrees to stop this scary behavior. I feel that I have been living under siege and would appreciate the right to peaceful enjoyment of my life," Diamond Brown wrote.
USA TODAY reached out to Chris Brown's lawyers for comment.
Diamond Brown: Chris Brown's behavior is 'frightening,' ex says
Diamond Brown
alleged Chris Brown "has been extremely angry with me when I have dated other men" since their split two years ago, which led to the end of two relationships. She added that the Grammy winner "made death threats against my most recent boyfriend" and his twin brother, including having "third parties make threats."
"I should not be left to be scared to move on with my life because of Chris's anger and resentment," the filing read, further accusing Chris Brown of harassing her "both in private and on social media."
"Christopher has blown up at me in front of our daughter and at a birthday party, which is harmful and especially inappropriate," Diamond Brown said. "I have had my attorney ask [him] to address me in a calm and respectful manner when we are anywhere together, both with or without Lovely. Christopher has refused to respond to this reasonable request."
Along with Lovely, Brown is the father to four other children: daughter Royalty, 12, with model Nia Guzman; son Aeko, 6, with Ammika Harris; and the baby he welcomed with Jada Wallace in April, whose name and sex are unknown.

Diamond Brown alleged the "Forever" artist has not asked to see Lovely in "six to seven months" and "is often uninterested" in her efforts to establish time between the father and daughter. Additionally, Chris Brown allegedly agreed to pay what she called an "inadequate" sum of $7,000 per month but regularly "freely deducts" funds from that amount.
"Despite his enormous financial resources, months after the filing of this case, [Chris Brown] refuses to provide sufficient child support for Lovely, or money for fees to the mother of his child," the filing said.
Diamond Brown said she brings in a monthly income of $1,500 as a social media influencer and esthetician and "is going deeper into debt each month." She estimated that Chris Brown's net worth "exceeds $50 million," but his "true income remains unknown" because he has not cooperated with her attorney's requests.
"He has refused to provide one single financial document, stalled all discovery attempts, and attempted to run Diamond out of money," according to the docs.
Diamond Brown is asking for at least $30,000 per month in child support and for Chris Brown to pay 100% of Lovely's "add-on expenses," such as insurance, medical needs, school tuition and extracurriculars. She is also seeking $350,000 in attorney and accounting fees associated with the case, which she filed in April.
Chris Brown controversies, explained
This is one of several legal troubles the musician has faced recently.
Chris Brown nightclub attack allegations
In May 2025, he was arrested for what prosecutors called "a violent attack" at a London nightclub two years prior.
Brown was accused of striking a music producer twice in the head with a glass bottle, which he denied. In July, he pleaded guilty to affray – a British term used to describe a physical altercation that occurs in a public place – and the more serious assault charges were dropped.
Former housekeeper sues Chris Brown for alleged dog attack
He was also dealing with another case this year after his former housekeeper, Maria Avila, sued him for $90 million. Citing emotional and physical injuries, Avila alleged Brown's dogs mauled her sister while they were cleaning his Los Angeles home in 2020.
The proceedings ended in a mistrial in June due to juror misconduct, and the second trial awarded Avila nearly $13 million. Brown's legal team later argued the allowance of testimony about his previous assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna – impacted the jury's decision.
A judge granted a new trial for damages, but the matter was settled when Brown and Avila agreed to a $9.5 million reduced payout last week.
Chris Brown, Rihanna assault, explained
In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge after attacking Rihanna the night before the Grammy Awards that year. Photos were leaked at the time, showing the "Love on the Brain" singer bloody and bruised from the incident.
What happened with Chris Brown, Frank Ocean?
In January 2013, police responded to a report of a fight between Brown and singer Frank Ocean in Hollywood. A member of Ocean's entourage sued Brown months later, but the lawsuit was ultimately dropped.
Chris Brown hit-and-run charges dismissed
Brown was charged with a hit-and-run around that same time after allegedly crashing into a car and fleeing the scene. He later turned himself in and charges were dismissed after he reached a civil compromise with the other driver.
Multiple women, ex Karrueche Tran allege assault against Chris Brown
Also in 2013, a woman accused Brown of assaulting her at a nightclub, but he wasn't charged. Another incident occurred when he was arrested in Washington D.C. after he and his bodyguard allegedly attacked a fan, for which he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault.
He faced more accusations in 2016 from a woman who said Brown threatened her with a gun inside his house, though he was not convicted. That year was arrested again on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon – with a woman claiming he pointed a gun at her – but the case was dropped.
Karrueche Tran, Brown's ex, was granted a five-year restraining order against him in 2017 after sharing in court that he sent her threatening text and voicemail messages from following their breakup. She also alleged he had physically assaulted her in the past.
Another woman sued Brown in 2018 for allegedly raping her at his home. No formal charges were ever filed. He faced an additional temporary restraining order from a different woman who said he was harassing and stalking her that year.
He spent a stint in jail in July 2018 after being arrested by Florida police outside his concert in West Palm Beach on a felony battery warrant relating to a prior incident in which he allegedly struck a photographer.
In 2019, Brown was detained and questioned in Paris over a complaint filed against him and two other men by a woman who claimed she was sexually assaulted during a drug-fueled party. He was released without charges and denied all allegations, proceeding to sue the woman for defamation.
A group of four concertgoers filed a civil lawsuit for assault against the "Go Crazy" singer in 2024, alleging Brown invited them backstage, where he and his entourage violently attacked them.
Chris Brown alleges libel
When a documentary chronicling his history of abuse and violence allegations, called "Chris Brown: A History of Violence," came out in 2025, Brown took legal action against Warner Bros. Discovery and several others for $500 million in damages. He claimed libel and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
