Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta posted eight receptions, 84 yards, and a touchdown during the team's Week 4 loss to the Carolina Panthers. He was targeted a team-high 13 times.

Why It Matters: Coming off an injury-shortened 2025 campaign, LaPorta had been mediocre through the season's first three weeks, averaging 48 yards per game and scoring once. On Sunday night, he enjoyed his best game since Week 9 of last year, posting an 8-84-1 line while leading the team in targets. Although LaPorta isn't on the level of Jahmyr Gibbs or Amon-Ra St. Brown in terms of priority usage from one week to the next, the former Hawkeye does enough to carry decent TE1 appeal.
