Katie Zacharia's family of six is balancing bicoastal living – at least for now – while she finds her footing as White House press secretary.

"I intend to, to the extent possible, include my family, include my kids in my work. Though my work will be demanding, they will always
be a priority," Zacharia said.
Public interest in Zacharia's personal life has grown after she succeeded Karoline Leavitt, the fourth White House press secretary in seven years to say they were resigning from the role to focus on their family. An August USA TODAY analysis found mothers who served as White House press secretaries stayed about a year less than everyone else.
