If you've ever seen another version of yourself, then you'd probably have the reaction that Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr did earlier this week.
Kerr was visibly stunned to see a doppelgänger of himself enter the Chase Center during the Warriors' preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 13.
The Warriors coach's lookalike took a seat and Kerr provided the perfect reaction creating a viral moment. Kerr was getting ready to make a coaching adjustment when he noticed the lookalike.
The only thing he could do in the moment was stare, piercingly, in amazement. The stare-off was only about five seconds, at least that was captured by a fan's camera. However, it was just long enough to have been
noticed and clipped.
Who is the Steve Kerr doppelgänger?
The name of Kerr's doppelgänger is also, Steve. Steve Gillis, the Kerr lookalike, is a Las Vegas high school English teacher and that wasn't his first time showing up to a Warriors game.
Gillis made an appearance once before in 2024. Kerr then commented on Gillis and their resemblance.
"I just thought he was strikingly handsome," Kerr said at a Warriors practice, according to FOX Sports.
The two have things in common such as their name, facial features and age group. However both Steves are not related to each other.
