Ciara is expecting baby number five!
The singer, 40, took to Instagram Sept. 6 to announce the news in a joint post with her husband, Russell Wilson, 37.
In a short video, the Grammy-winning R&B songstress can be seen hanging four crisp white t-shirts onto a clothesline outside, before adding a tiny baby onesie onto the end of the rope. Beaming, she turns to the camera and holds up five fingers.
The star looked effortlessly chic in a white tank top and pair of low hanging jeans, her baby bump on display.
Messages of congratulations quickly poured in for the family. Singer Kehlani, actress La La Anthony and Vanessa Bryantwere among the well-wishers.
Wilson also jumped into the comments, writing: "Baby Cinco!"
In an image shared as part of the Instagram
carousel, her children's names can be seen printed on each t-shirt, with the front of the baby onesie remaining blank... for now.
The couple already have three children together, Amora Princess, 2, and Sienna Princess, 9, Win Harrison,6.
Ciara shares her firstborn child, 12-year-old Future Zahir, with her ex, rapper Future, whose real name is Nayvadius Wilburn. The pair, who were once engaged, welcomed Future in 2014.
Wilson first met Future when he was just nine months old. Two years later, Ciara and Wilson were married.
In June, Wilson announced his retirementfrom the NFL, ending a 14-year NFL career largely spent with the Seattle Seahawks and included the Super Bowl 48 title.
In the years since, Wilson has been open about his relationship with his stepson.
"Our family is a beautiful blended family," he said in a 2021 interviewwith GQ.
"The reality of being a stepparent is that biologically they're not necessarily yours, but the reality is that you have to love them as if they are," he continued.
In an interview with Studio Gannett last year, Ciara opened up on the intensity of her very full life and how she balances music, running her own businesses and motherhood.
“Running my own label is not easy," she said. "Then you add on top of that being a mom, oh my god, life comes at you fast, but I would not have it any other way,” she said, calling her world “organized chaos.”
The singer explained that juggling the needs of her children was a huge challenge, especially given their differing ages. It takes both parents to keep the family running smoothly, she said.
“It’s a blessing to have Russ as a life partner,” she says. “We are tag teaming on how to make the world better for our kids. And from a love perspective, that actually brings us closer because you are kind of doing everything together, and that is kind of sweet,” she said.
