Cruz calls Talarico a 'great candidate' for California
Talarico’s California trip comes after Texas leaders have sought to tie him to the state, with Sen. Ted Cruzrecently commenting that Talarico "would be a great candidate in California" in a CBS News interview in August.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Talarico’s Republican opponent in the U.S. Senate race, has repeatedly criticized the Democrat over his out-of-state fundraising, including financial support from California.
