Kylie Kelce is apologizing to Princess Kate for her royal faux pas.
The podcaster and wife of NFL star Jason Kelce addressed her recent shout-out to the Princess of Wales during a new episode of her show, "Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce", released Thursday, Oct. 1.
Kelce, 34, invited the British royal to be a guest on her podcast after Kate was spotted playing shinty, a game similar to field hockey, during a trip to Scotland last month. The media personality grew up with the hockey sport, playing as a member of Cabrini University's NCAA-affiliated team while in college.
"Princess Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, if you ever wanted to come on and chitchat about some field hockey and maybe kids," Kelce said on the Sept. 24 episode of "Not Gonna Lie."
"I don't know. We got a couple things in common."

Although commonly known as Princess Kate, the royal was born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton. After marrying Prince William in 2011 and joining the royal family, she was given the official title Princess Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. But the media and general public continued to refer to her as Kate.
"I love learning, so I was unaware that calling Princess Catherine 'Princess Kate' was offensive," Kelce said during her "Rage Bait of the Week" segment Thursday. "I didn't know that. Now I know that. Now I will proceed accordingly. I apologize for the mistake. I would like to refer to people in the most respectful way and how they feel respected."
She added: "Princess Catherine, or the Princess of Wales, I apologize. I will get that sorted immediately starting now."
Princess Kate changed royal titles in September 2022 after the death of Prince William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Following King Charles III's subsequent ascension to the British throne, William was named Prince of Wales as the new heir apparent, while Kate was given the title Princess of Wales.
Despite the name mix-up, Kelce doubled down on her desire to interview Princess Kate in the future.
"I would love to speak to the Princess of Wales because of many reasons," Kelce said. "She is an incredible woman. She has children. She played field hockey. She battled cancer. There are so many things that I would love to speak to her about."
