American Airlines has added nonstop flights from Miami International Airport for fans traveling to see University of Miami football in big games at Clemson University and Notre Dame.
The airline has added flights to Greenville/Spartanburg South Carolina for Clemson and South Bend, Indiana, for Notre Dame said Cameryn Junck, a spokesperson for American Airlines, in a press release. The additions are part of the company's "largest-ever college football schedule," to which the release says "nearly 70" flights have been added.
The added flights are scheduled for the days before and after the each football game, according the press release, and tickets can be purchased via the airline's website.
Currently, the American Airlines site shows flights from
Miami to Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport starting at $691 on Oct. 2. Flights from Miami to South Bend International Airport on Nov. 6 start at $1,001. That doesn't include the price of return flights.

What flights have been added from Miami International Airport?
According to Junck, American Airlines has added flights to two away games for the Miami Hurricanes this season:
- Clemson, South Carolina, via Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) for the Oct. 3 game
- South Bend, Indiana, via South Bend International Airport (SBN) for the Nov. 7 game
The press release says that American Airlines has added almost "14,000 seats to its schedule throughout the season," which is "the most the airline has ever added for college football fans."
