Waiting all day for Sunday night.
Those famous words are sung by Carrie Underwood every week on NBC's "Sunday Night Football" anthem, but that doesn't mean it's always true. The school-age kids are sweating over unfinished homework and adults are dealing with the "Sunday Scaries," meaning the Sunday slate's finale sometimes isn't a welcome sight.
That won't be the case in Week 7, when the Seattle Seahawks host the Kansas City Chiefs.
Perhaps best known as the "Kenneth Walker revenge game," it also features two of the league's best, even if the Seahawks aren't playing like one right now.
One week after Sam Darnold flopped on "Thursday Night Football," he'll get another chance at redemption in primetime. A banged-up backfield, however, isn't helping
his case. At the very least, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is still around and that is all Seattle truly needs right now.
Meanwhile Darnold's opposite number, Patrick Mahomes, will try to keep the Chiefs' undefeated season alive for at least another week.
