Dylan Dreyer is quick on her feet.
When Dreyer, 45, was asked to repeat an off-camera comment directed at fellow "Today" co-anchor Craig Melvinfollowing a Thursday, Sept. 24, segment about how fast-food chains were catering to customers using GLP-1 injections, the meteorologist dutifully obliged.
"I asked if you do the shot," Dreyer said, referring to GLP-1 agonists. "I did. You thought I was being judgy. I was literally just asking because I feel like everyone I know is on it."
Melvin quipped: "I took it as maybe Craig should be on the shot."
Co-anchor Al Roker weighed in on the matter, pointing out that Melvin looked slimmer, which Melvin confirmed: "I have lost some weight. I know.”
Dreyer, who insisted she was "not being judgy," told Melvin,
"I think you just assume I’m being judgy." The back-and-forth went on until Roker broke it up with a joke, saying, "Mommy and Daddy are fighting!"
Melvin did not confirm or deny whether his recent weight loss was a byproduct of using a GLP-1 medication, an FDA-approved drug used to help lower blood sugar in people with Type 2 diabetes. These drugs are also used to help people lose weight.
Despite covering various stories surrounding the GLP-1 movement on the NBC morning show, none of the anchors have publicly spoken about taking the medication, according to People.

In September 2025, "Today" co-host Jenna Bush Hager revealed she didn’t take the shot, noting, "food is so good. I mean I haven’t done it because I want to eat, you know? Among other reasons."
Bush Hager discussed the topic alongside actor Rosie Perez, who was complaining about how she looked in a photograph, shouting, "Oh my God, look at me! No, I look so plump."
The 44-year-old talk show co-host assured Perez that she did not look "so plump," insisting the photo was taken at "a bad angle."
"No, Jenna, Jenna, I ate like a pig the whole summer. I ate like a pig the whole summer," Perez insisted. "We rent a house every summer… my girlfriends come up, and I went, 'Is everybody on the needle?' Everybody was skinny, except me. I looked like a beached whale."
Bush Hager then asked Perez, "Is everyone on the needle?"
"Everyone’s on the needle. And no judgment, no judgment. I’m just scared. If I wasn’t scared, I’d be like," Perez said before miming taking an injection.
