Among knockout artists, Amanda Serrano is in position to become the most prolific in women’s boxing history.
Serrano, 37, heads into her featherweight world title fight against Lucrecia Manzur on Friday, Aug. 21, needing one knockout to break the all-time record.
Serrano and Hall of Famer Christy Martin are tied with 32 knockouts.
“Man, it would mean a lot,’’ Serrano said on ESPN’s SportsCenter this week when asked about the record. “I mean, I’ve accomplished everything I’ve wanted to accomplish in my career.
“But to have that record, you know Christy Martin is a pioneer in the sport and one of the greatest women to do the sport. And she’s had that record for over 21 years. That’s a long time.’’
Ownership of the record could officially change hands
when Serrano (49-4-1) puts her WBA and WBO world titles on the line against Manzur (14-4, 7 KOs) during the main event at Pechanga Resort & Casino, Temecula, Calif.

Prefight: The social media influencers joining the commentary team won't make anyone forget about Larry Merchant, but I wholeheartedly agree with the pair who said they're ready for a knockout.
Round 1: One of the influencers spent about 30 seconds looking down at they're phone, and it was that kind of round.
Round 2: The sword on the right side of Salvador Molina's body is a nice target, but Nelvie Tiafack is punching Molina all over the place.

TikTok’s technical difficulties
07:44 PM ET, August 21 2026, Josh PeterAfter a rough start, TikTok has addressed technical difficulties that made the early portion of the show hard to follow. For example, at times the screen being used for the livestream made the boxing ring look as small telephone booth. (Yes, a telephone booth. Google it, kids.) But TikTok still has time to get it worked out and seems to be adjusting quickly.
