When half a million soccer fans arrived in Atlanta this summer and stepped inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, some of the biggest surprises didn't happen on the pitch — they happened at the register.
The home of Atlanta United and the Atlanta Falcons was voted the best World Cup venue in America in part because of the family-friendly food pricing and yummy menu items found inside the stadium. From classic Atlanta wings to $5 draft beers, food inside MSB has always been carefully curated.
Now, new menu items are coming to football and soccer fans this fall.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium announces new food items
"Y'all's diet starts after the season," officials from the Atlanta Falcons and Mercedes-Benz Stadium said in a post on social media Tuesday announcing new menu items coming to the sports venue this
fall.
The Falcons kick off their home season Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
Here's what is being added to the menu inside Mercedes-Benz:
- Dirty Bird Wings — wings and fries in an A-shaped box
- The $20 Board — chicken strips, fries, nachos, a hot dog, a slice of pizza, a soft pretzel, popcorn and a drink, all in one serving box
- Rack-O-Rib Volcano — a round rack of ribs filled with mac-and-cheese on a bed of kettle chips
- Birria Mexican Pizza — a large quesadilla with dipping sauces
- Freddie Burger — named after the Falcons' iconic mascot
- Cowboy Ribeye — a large serving of meat and potatoes
- 404 Cookie Dough — scoops of some of your favorite cookie dough flavors
- Stadium Nachos — tortilla chips complete with cheese, sauce and meat
- Chicken Tender Box — your favorite chicken tenders in a larger serving with fries

Atlanta United offers free tickets to first-time fans

Atlanta United is offering two free tickets to local fans who have never attended a match.
"Experience the energy of an Atlanta United match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with complimentary tickets for first time attendees," the team said. "First Match on Us is designed for new fans to feel the passion, energy and atmosphere of soccer. Simply fill out the form below and join one of the most electric environments in Major League Soccer."
To sign up, fans just have to fill out a form on the Atlanta United website, choose a home match to attend and the team will offer two free tickets.
Fans are eligible for the free tickets to an Atlanta United match if they are legal residents of Georgia or Alabama and live within 75 miles of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
They must also be at least 18 years old and register with an email that is not associated with any prior ticket purchase history.
