Heartbroken celebrities and former co-stars are paying tribute to actress Hayden Panettiere, who has died at the age of 36.
"I love you. Don’t be gone. Don’t be gone . Please. Please," actress Selma Blair wrote in a comment underneath Panettiere's final Instagram post.
Actress Viola Davis who starred alongside Panettiere in movies "The Architect" and "Custody" described her former co-star as an "old, wise soul with such a deep heart" and vowed that the star would be remembered. "I wish the world had more time with you," Davis wrote.
Singer JoJo wrote on Instagram that news of Panettiere’s death was "devastating."
Comedian Rosie O'Donnell shared a photo of Panettiere on Instagram, writing, "Oh my god – heartbroken."

Melissa Barrera, who starred alongside Panettiere in “Scream VI,” took to her Instagram Stories to pay tribute to her former co-star. “Rest in peace sweet Hayden,” she wrote alongside a broken heart emoji.
David Arquette, Panettiere’s co-star in “Scream 4,” wrote “I love you Hayden,” in an Instagram comment.
Panettiere's representative confirmed her death to USA TODAY on Sunday, Aug. 16. A cause of death has not yet been shared.
The actress had spoken out in recent years about her troubles with addiction and the effects of childhood stardom. Panettiere, whose career began at the age of 9, is best known for her roles in TV series like "Heroes" and "Nashville."
"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her – and to the millions who watched her onscreen," her father, Skip Panettiere, said in a statement.
Panettiere is survived by her daughter, Kaya.
