Fans of The Chicks in Los Angeles were left disappointed after the country music trio postponed a concert just hours before showtime.
The group, consisting of Natalie Maines, Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, announced on Instagram that its Nov. 2 performance at the Dolby Theatre was postponed "due to illness." The concert has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 4.
"If you're unable to attend the new date, refunds will be available at your point of purchase. If you are able to attend the rescheduled date, no action is required. The Chicks apologize for any inconvenience," the statement reads.
Several fans criticized the timing of the announcement, with some saying they had traveled to Los Angeles to see the show.

"To say this an hour and 1/2 before
the doors open is WILD," a commenter wrote, adding that they traveled north from San Diego and already paid for hotel expenses.
USA TODAY has reached out to a representative of The Chicks for comment.
The Chicks fans complain about refund difficulties after postponement
Other fans urged The Chicks to cancel the concert rather than reschedule it, saying they were having difficulty obtaining refunds for tickets purchased through third-party sellers.
"CANCEL THE SHOW. We do not get a refund. By not cancelling and simply rescheduling, anyone who purchased tickets on any other platform, loses the money. Our only hope is to relist. So I will lose over $1200. We all fly out," one commenter wrote.
Another fan said they purchased tickets through the resale marketplace Gametime and were unable to secure a refund unless the concert was canceled.
"Already paid a lot for plane, hotel, ect. Please cancel so we can get something back!!!!" the commenter wrote.

"So ONE HOUR before doors open we are informed?!? What about airline tickets? Flights home are on the day the show is scheduled too," another comment reads.
Another comment reads: "I understand being ill, but waiting until an hour before doors is annoying. And Ticketmaster is saying I’m not eligible for a refund, so that’s fun."
USA TODAY has also reached out to Ticketmaster and Gametime for comment.
The rescheduled show on Nov. 4 is set to be the last of their 2026 "Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary tour" in North America, honoring their Grammy-winning album "Taking the Long Way." The tour commenced on Sept. 30 at Detroit's Fox Theatre and included major stops across the U.S. and Canada.
