Hayden Panettiere cause of death: How did she die?
Paniettiere's
official cause of death is still to be determined, with autospy reports pending.
The Greenville County Coroner's Office in South Carolina previously told USA TODAY that it could take up to three months for her autopsy and toxicology reports to be completed. USA TODAY has requested a copy of the coroner's report when it is finished.
Amid the shocking death of the actress, her on-and-off boyfriend Brian Hickerson and his brother, Zachary Hickerson, have faced legal trouble. The pair were on the scene of her death and called 911, and then weeks later were "involved in an altercation" at a South Carolina restaurant on Sept. 12, the Greenville Police Department told USA TODAY.
Officers were dispatched to the restaurant around 9:10 p.m. "in reference to a reported assault" and "determined that Zach Hickerson was highly intoxicated. He began yelling profanities in a public setting, and as a result, he was taken into custody." Brian Hickerson was detained and later released at the scene. He was not charged.
