Almost 1.6 million dozen eggs produced in Texashave been voluntarily recalled this week due to potential salmonella contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The eggs, both brown-shell and white-shell, were produced in Texas from Midwest Poultry Services, L.P., according to the recall announcement.
But is there a chance you purchased them in Philadelphia?

Did I buy recalled eggs in Philadelphia?
According to the FDA, the recalled eggs were not known to be sold in Pennsylvania.
The eggs were shipped for retail and foodservice customers in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. They were sold at Brookshire Grocery stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Mississippi, as well as Krogerstores in Texas and Louisiana as well as a handful
of small retail outlets.
Which eggs were recalled?
According to the release, Midwest Poultry Services L.P. was not aware of specific illness linked to the voluntary recall.
Consumers can check their products on the FDA website or by looking at date-coding on the right side of the product, checking for codes P-1950 or 0840962.
Consumers can also check for Julian Dates between 157 and 184.
