Ravens vs. Jaguars key storylines
- QB NONE: Lamar Jackson? Out. Tyler Huntley? Likely out. Joe Fagnano? Also bitten by the injury bug. In other words, if you are within driving distance of M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday night - watch out and check the caller ID. You may be asked to play quarterback for the Ravens. As far as quarterbacks with experience go, Baltimore signed Austin Reed and Kedon Slovis. Jesse Minter might have to spin the QB wheel and hope for the best.
- On the road again: In Week 8, the Jaguars played a real home game at EverBank Stadium for the first time since Sept. 27. They had enough time to do some laundry, make sure nothing was out of place and maybe sleep in their own bed for a night or two before packing those bags once again. That Week 8 contest was the only true home game for Jacksonville during an eight-week stretch. The Jags' next home game isn't until Nov. 29 (Week 12) against the Titans. That's a lot of luggage.
- Show us what you've got, Brian Thomas Jr.: It's the last game before the NFL trade deadline for both teams and perhaps no player is more intriguing than the 2024 first-round pick. Thomas is one player that didn't benefit from Liam Coen's arrival in Jacksonville, falling down the receiver depth chart. He was benched against the Texans in London and hauled in a touchdown against the Colts. His time with the Jags appears to be coming to an end, so will the team give him some extra reps to squeeze some more value out of the trade market?

Adam Kaufman: Jaguars 30, Ravens 13
Baltimore's quarterback room needs its own injury report. Lamar Jackson is headed to injured reserve, Tyler Huntley is dealing with a toe injury and last week's emergency option Joe Fagnano isn't healthy either. Good luck preparing for Thursday night under those circumstances. Jacksonville has injury issues of its own, including season-ending losses for DaVon Hamilton and Eric Murray, which should give Derrick Henry a fighting chance to keep this competitive. But Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars have far more ways to win. I expect the Ravens to lean heavily on Henry, shorten the game and eventually run out of answers once the Jaguars build a lead. The visitors should win this one
comfortably.
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz: Jaguars 30, Ravens 6
With Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley both hurt and Derrick Henry sputtering, the Ravens approach midseason essentially rudderless. Getting a short week to prepare for a top cotender under these circumstances seems like a disaster. Baltimore's only hope is a full-on unraveling by Jacksonville, but Trevor Lawrence should be able to take whatever he's given to comfortably direct an easy win and potenial blowout.
Nicholas Brinkerhoff: Jaguars 34, Ravens 9
This had the makings of a fun 'Thursday Night Football” game. Then the injury bug got hungry and feasted on the Ravens. Now we find ourselves in a familiar spot – stuck with a backup quarterback for an island game. Case Keenum got the job done. Tyler Huntley got the job done. Even Jalon Daniels got the job done. However, the law firm of Fagnano, Reed and Slovis won't be as fortunate. Jacksonville wins big in B-More.
