Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is buying into Eagles OC Sean Mannion's new West Coast scheme, which asks him to play more under center rather than in shotgun with more timing-based connections to the Eagles' pass-catchers, according to Tim McManus of ESPN on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Why It Matters: Hurts' connection with his pass-catchers this season will never be more important, as he'll be without A.J. Brown for the first time since 2022. Philadelphia added first-round rookie WR Makai Lemon and the team also traded for Dontayvion Wicks to add to mainstays WR DeVonta Smith and TE Dallas Goedert. The run game has worked and will continue to work, but for fantasy, getting the ball in the air and with some passing volume
will really boost Hurts' fantasy profile. Consider Hurts a locked-in QB1 this season, but if the passing component works in tandem with his rushing ability, then overall QB1 is within reach this season.
