The 2026 Little League Softball World Series will continue with another slate of games on Monday, Aug. 3.
The action hit a snag on Sunday, Aug. 2, after games in North Carolina were delayed due to weather.
There was constant rain in the area, which kept the tarps out on the field and led to a reshuffling of the schedule for the final two games.
California (West) and Kentucky (Central) faced a three-hour delay before the game began. Despite a fast start for the West, Kentucky managed to pull away with the victory in four innings after producing seven runs in the bottom of the first inning.
The game between Canada and North Carolina was moved to Monday, August 3 at 9 a.m. It was initially scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Japan managed to get the
best of New Jersey, 4-1, in the second game of the evening, despite dealing with a two-hour rain delay. Florida produced a dominant 14-0 victory over Washington in Sunday's opener.

Starting pitchers for North Carolina, Canada
North Carolina is the home team and will send Kathryn Utech to the mound to face Canada's lineup in the top of the first inning. Canada will counter with Livia Hardy in the bottom of the first. In the North Carolina state tournament, Johnston County Little League went 3-0 and outscored its opponents 32-0. Canada's On Field LLS Little League went 2-0 in the Canada Region tournament and outscored its opponents 11-4.
