Southwest Airlines is expanding its hospitality services with all-new airport lounges.
On Sept. 2, Southwest Airlines announced the debut of an airport lounge network, with lounges opening in four airports by late next year. The airline is partnering with Chase Bank, building on the Chase Sapphire Reserve Lounge Network.
Southwest did not share details about what the lounges would include when USA TODAY contacted the airline on Sept. 2.

Where is Southwest Airlines opening its first airport lounges?
The first airport lounges will open in the following locations:
- Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (Texas)
- Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (Maryland)
- Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (Hawaii)
- Nashville International Airport (Tennessee)
Southwest expects to open seven more lounges over the next several years, though the airline didn't clarify where they will be constructed,
according to a news release.
When will the Southwest Airlines lounges open?
The first four lounges are under construction and expected to open in late 2027, according to a news release.

Southwest did not provide details on what its new lounges would include.
Instead, the airline's news release states, "Each lounge will combine the warmth and friendliness customers expect from Southwest with sophisticated design, locally-inspired dining, high-quality amenities and valuable travel benefits that are offered today in the Chase Sapphire Reserve Lounge Network."
Tailored to the city they are located in, Chase Sapphire Reserve Lounges may feature premium local food and beverages, locally roasted coffee, wellness areas with massage chairs and private resting pods, nursing and family rooms, high-speed internet and private restrooms.
How to get access to Southwest Airlines lounges
Chase Bank will issue a new premium Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card in 2027, which will include access to the airport lounge network, according to a news release.
