Tennessee Titans CEO Burke Nihill spoke on behalf of controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk, issuing an apology to fans for the team's prolonged losing streak. The Titans are 0-5 to start the 2026 season and have managed only six wins since 2023, leaving supporters frustrated and disappointed.
"She understands that we all have a responsibility to our fans to do better," Nihill said during an interview with WKRN-TV sports director Cory Curtis. "And, you know, she’s sorry that we’re not doing better."
Nihill highlighted Strunk’s deep awareness of the challenges the Titans have faced in recent seasons. He acknowledged not only the adversity on the field but also the emotional toll it has taken on the entire organization.
“Strunk loves this team and is deeply
passionate about its success. She’s experiencing tremendous disappointment and grief, knowing how difficult this stretch has been for everyone involved,” Nihill said. “It’s not enjoyable for her to go through this losing streak, and she desperately wants to reverse the team’s fortunes. She is fully committed to supporting the turnaround in any way possible.”
Nihill went on to reassure fans that Strunk is doing everything in her power to help the organization regroup and refocus for a better outcome each week.
“She loves this team. She’s passionate about this team. And she’s feeling just great disappointment. She’s feeling a lot of grief knowing that it’s not fun for anybody," Nihill said. "It’s not fun for her to be in this stretch of losing. And she desperately wants that to turn around and is doing everything she can to support turning it around."
Nihill also told ESPN that the organization remains fully committed to head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Mike Borgonzi, despite the winless start to the season. He stressed that both leaders have the support of ownership as they work to overcome the current difficulties.
"I believe that Mike Borgonzi and Robert Saleh are ultimately going to get this team out of the woods and restore it to competitive football,” Nihill told ESPN. “The train is on the tracks. It just hasn't picked up momentum, but it will.”
