A former medical facility has been transformed into an immersive art exhibition exploring the full spectrum of human emotion.
Located at St. Vincent Medical Center, Hospital of Emotions brings together more than 70 artists who have reimagined 80 hospital rooms across four floors. Each space is dedicated to a different emotion, including joy, love, fear, anger, hope, sadness, gratitude and resilience.
Visitors move through operating rooms, patient rooms, nurses' stations and hospital corridors that have been transformed into immersive installations. Artists worked within the building's existing architecture, turning medical spaces into emotional environments through art, design and storytelling.
The exhibition opened in May 2026 and has been extended
twice due to popular demand. The main Hospital of Emotions exhibition is now scheduled to remain open through Jan. 3.
For the Halloween season, the attraction is offering two experiences: After Dark and Below. After Dark adds a seasonal twist to the exhibition with lowered lighting, roaming characters and unexpected encounters throughout the building.
Meanwhile, Below takes visitors into the hospital's basement, featuring eerie imagery, sudden sounds, confined spaces and other unexpected moments.
According to organizers, this marks the first time visitors have been able to access the basement as part of the experience.
Both After Dark and Below will be available through Nov. 1.
