SUV uses a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gas engine and an electric motor to produce a modest 139 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. It achieves 53 miles per gallon in the city and 54 miles per gallon on the highway, which is exceptional gas mileage for its segment.
The hybrid SUV has an 11.1-gallon gas tank, so drivers could get over 588 miles of driving range out of a single full tank of gas.
2026 Kia Niro hybrid SUV standard features
Kia's Niro LX base model hybrid SUV comes standard with auto emergency braking technology, blind-spot detection and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist. It also features multiple drive modes including Sport and Eco, a rearview monitor with dynamic parking guidance and a safe exit warning.
The hybrid SUV includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, remote keyless entry and Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto connectivity. It comes with a heated windshield, heated side view mirrors and a Black Metallic interior accent trim.
