Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs carried the ball 21 times for 39 yards and a touchdown versus the Carolina Panthers in Week 8. Jacobs also caught six passes for 13 yards and a score in the win.

Why It Matters: Facing the NFL's worst run defense, the Packers still couldn't get out of neutral on the ground. That resulted in Jacobs turning 27 combined touches into 52 yards -- a mind-bogglingly low 1.9 yards per touch with a long gain on the night of six yards. Jacobs still delivered for fantasy owners, however, scoring once on the ground and again as a receiver, which gives him three TDs in two games since returning (he also dropped a TD in Week 7). With each passing week it seems less and less likely that the Packers will field
a competitive running attack this year, but Jacobs' ability to find the end zone make him playable as an RB2, albeit with the caveat that the NFL could still impose additional discipline on him.
