They're still without Josh Jacobs, their run game struggled in the opener, and they're fresh off allowing 29 unanswered points to the Carson Wentz-led Vikings. The Jets beat the Titans in Week 1, but it looks like everyone's going to beat up on Tennessee. That doesn't mean New York is good. Still, Geno Smith protected the ball, Breece Hall rushed for 102 yards, and the offensive line gave both room to work. If the Jets can repeat that formula at home, there's every reason to think they can hang around and maybe even hand the Pack a surprising 0-2 start.
Tom Viera: Jets +3.5
It's wild but we're trusting "Gang Green" for the second straight week and this time in their home opener against Green Bay, with momentum firmly on their side after Geno Smith and company dominated Tennessee in Week 1. Smith was efficient, Breece Hall topped 100 total yards, and New York's defense created pressure all afternoon. Meanwhile, the Packers are coming off a brutal collapse in Minnesota, blowing a 22-10 lead before losing 39-22. Green Bay also struggled to establish a running game without Josh Jacobs, leaving Jordan Love and the passing attack to carry the offense. That one-dimensional approach should allow the Jets to pressure Love and keep this game within a field goal - with an upset very much in play.
Nick Brinkerhoff: Jets +3.5
It might upset the balance in the world, but the Jets have a real chance to go 2-0 for the first time since 2015. 'Gang Green” should have a raucous crowd behind them against a Packers team that's in the midst of a six-game losing streak. The loss of Micah Parsons looms large, as does the continued absence of Josh Jacobs. Matt LaFleur's job security has also come into question following a stunning collapse against the rival Vikings. The Jets offensive line and running game are the difference on a rainy day at MetLife.
Blake Schuster: Jets +3.5
This is less about overreating to a less-than-impressive win against the Titans than taking a home underdog — who just happens to have some very positive vibes after that less-than-impressive win. The Packers without Micah Parsons and Josh Jacobs lack identity on both sides of the ball and Jordan Love has become too predictable with the ball in his hands. This isn't to say Green Bay is totally cooked and but failing to cover against the Jets should be a huge wake-up call.
