From moody florals to peaceful blues and greens, this bedding sale is everything you need to refresh your bedroom for fall.

Crate & Barrel's theme is about as fitting for fall as you can get: Layer Up. This seasonal styling emphasizes combining bedding rather than relying on a single matching set, meaning textures, colors, prints and more come together to create warm, collected spaces.
Even Crate & Barrel Kids is in on this deal, but only for a limited time. All kids and baby bedding is up to 50% through Oct. 14, so you only have a few
more days to upgrade every bedroom in your home.
The moody, cozy burgundy florals have me rethinking my own bedroom setup. Lazy nights cuddled up with a good mystery novel and a fall candle can't get much better with these fall colors. And for 60% off, you might as well add these to your cart before they fly off the shelves and onto someone else's bed.

How Crate & Barrel is styling beds this season

If there was one thing that describes Crate & Barrel's fall bedding drop, it's it’s mixing, not matching. Layers upon layers sit artistically on top of the bed, yet all come together for a look that's designer-level chic.
These styles combine one carefully curated color scheme with several different textures, like the look that combines deep brown European linen with a moody floral organic cotton quilt, a light beige quilted jersey blanket and a deep burgundy ribbed velvet throw pillow.

Another of my favorite bedding looks uses ficus green waffle-weave organic cotton bedding with a warm natural linen quilt, a burnt green and warm natural sheet set and a deep brown linen ruffle pillow.

The mix of light and dark gives this a grounded, earthy look that still feels soft and inviting.

The colors shift again, but this time for a more coastal vibe, where mist blue washed organic cotton sheets are paired with a reversible Winding Garden quilt and burnt green throw and pillow cover.

What I love about this combination is that the colors are bright, yet still incorporate a touch of fall.

Another kids look centers on deep indigo bedding, including a 100% organic cotton duvet cover, striped waffle-weave quilt and organic yarn-dyed sheet set.

The terracotta waffle-weave organic cotton pillow sham adds a contrasting color that brings the entire setup together.

How to get the layered look for fall
Layering Up your own bed doesn't have to be hard. Here's each layer and how to style it:
- Fitted and flat sheets: The first layer of any bed are the sheets. Crate & Barrel offers several colorways for fall made from organic cotton.
- Quilt or coverlet: A lightweight blanket should be your second layer. It's the perfect addition to any layered bedding setup, as you can kick off your thicker comforter and use just the coverlet to sleep cooler. I'm a fan of this reversible beige blanket that's currently on clearance for just $89.99.
- Duvet or comforter: The duvet or comforter is the cornerstone of your layered setup, and is the piece that every other part of your bedding should compliment. Crate & Barrel's fall colors features moody browns and burgundy, as well as blues, greens and beiges. Start here and build out your layered setup.
- Sleeping pillows and shams: While a bedding set will typically come with matching pillow shams, you can also mix and match these to build the ultimate layered bedding look. Your sleeping pillows should precede any throw pillows for the most stylish look.
- Decorative throw pillow(s): While my husband disagrees, I don't think you can ever have enough throw pillows. For the ultimate layered bedding look, I'd recommend at least two decorative pillows. You can either get two of the same or mix and match textures.
- Throw blanket: No layered look is complete without a throw blanket (or three). For example, I love how this green faux fur pairs with the Article Ivory Organic Cotton Fringe throw.
