Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold connected on 17 of his 34 passes for 188 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in a Week 8 loss to the Chicago Bears. Darnold also ran twice for 20 yards.

Why It Matters: Playing behind a reworked offensive line, Darnold was under pressure from the get go on Monday night, and he took some big hits early on. The USC alum had his moments, most notably a 43-yard touchdown strike to Jaxon Smith-Njigba right before halftime, but was mostly underwhelming as Seattle dropped to 4-4. The Seahawks need more from the ground game, and you'd imagine the offensive line will improve as it gets more reps as a unit, which should position Darnold for better results. Whether any of that will allow him to move
beyond fringe QB2 candidate remains to be seen.
