The date is officially set: Tyson Fury will step into the ring to face Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight clash on Dec. 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
Turki Alalshikh, the leading power broker in Saudi boxing, revealed the date after prolonged negotiations between the Fury and Joshua camps, primarily focused on securing the ideal venue. Tensions ran high during talks, with Fury even threatening to abandon the matchup and pursue a fight with Oleksandr Usyk if a resolution wasn’t reached.

Fury holds a record of 35-2-1, including 24 knockouts. Fury is the former WBC heavyweight champion and lost his title to Oleksandr Usyk in May 2024, then lost their December rematch. Since then, Fury has won back-to-back victories over Arslanbek Makhmudov in May and Mariusz Wach in July.
Joshua, with a professional record of 29-4, including 24 knockouts, is a former two-time unified WBO, IBF, and WBA heavyweight champion. This bout marks Joshua’s return to the ring after a year-long hiatus; his last fight was in December 2025, when he delivered a knockout victory over Jake Paul.
The Fury-Anthony heavyweight bout will be promoted by Ring Magazine in partnership with UFC president Dana White, and it will be streamed exclusively on Netflix.
