The Lions lead the all-time series, 40-4-1, though the teams have not met since Penn State secured a 34-27 win at Beaver Stadium in 2016.
Penn State’s top priority in this game will likely be generating more efficiency in its running game after averaging just 3.6 yards per carry against Marshall.
Temple is coming off a 38-14 win against Rhode Island in its season opener. Running back Keveun Mason rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, so slowing him will be a point of emphasis for Campbell’s defense.

That said, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Owls put up at least a little bit more resistance than the Thundering Herd did, at least for the first half.
