'The Mandalorian and Grogu'

In a continuation of the "Star Wars" series "The Mandalorian," Mando (Pedro Pascal) and his adorable apprentice Grogu are on the hunt for ex-Imperial warlords. However, their latest job puts them at odds with a crime syndicate, though they find allies in Jabba the Hutt's son (Jeremy Allen White) and an old Rebel pilot (Sigourney Weaver).

'Mayday'

In this buddy comedy that's a paean to "Top Gun" and 1980s action flicks, Ryan Reynolds stars as a hotshot Navy pilot who crash lands in Soviet Russia while on a Cold War-era spy mission. His only hope to get home turns out to be Nick (Kenneth Branagh), a gruff ex-KGB agent who loves American pop culture and is really good in a fight.

'Penny Lane Is Dead'

In the Australian horror comedy, Penny (Bailey Spalding) is having one last party at the family beach house before she goes off to university. Unfortunately her unhinged psycho cousin Kat (Sophia Wright-Mendelsohn) crashes the shindig with some "friends," leading to a night of drugged cupcakes, bloody brutality and an unexpected ending.

'The Runner'

This tight, ticking-clock thriller unfolds almost in real time, with Gal Gadot as a fit lawyer whose son is kidnapped by a mysterious villain (Damian Lewis). Communicating with this sinister baddie via cell over headphones, she has an hour to run across London and take out a key witness for a criminal trial she's working on, or else her kid dies.

'Scary Movie'

Everything from "Sinners" and "Ma" to "Get Out" and "The Substance" are sent up in a comeback for the horror-spoof movie series. The prime target for this "rebooty call," however, is again the "Scream" films as Ghostface comes for the relatives of returning characters Cindy (Anna Faris), Brenda (Regina Hall) and Shorty (Marlon Wayans).

'The Whisper Man'

Based on the Alex North novel, the gripping psychological thriller stars Adam Scott as a recently widowed crime author starting a new life with his little boy. When the child is kidnapped, and evidence points to an imprisoned serial killer, the writer turns to his estranged father (Robert De Niro), a retired cop, to help before it's too late.
