Max Strus left the Los Angeles Clippers’ preseason game against the Golden State Warriors early at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Sunday, Oct. 4.
Strus suffered a non-contact right foot
injury after seeing limited action as he tried to cut across the top of the key to receive a pass from guard Darius Garland during the first quarter.
He was seen limping back to the locker room. Strus saw just five minutes of action, missing his only shot attempt. He did collect a single rebound.

The guard is expected to undergo further testing when the Clippers return to L.A.
Strus was acquired by the Clippers in August as part of a multi-team trade that involved the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets and Washington Wizards.
Strus averaged 11.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and two assists per game in 12 games played last season. He suffered a Jones fracture in his left foot during offseason training in 2025 while he was with the Cavaliers.
