Charlie Becker appeared to have something he needed to get off his chest following Indiana's loss to Ohio State on Saturday.
The Hoosiers wide receiver sought out Buckeyes coach Ryan Day on the field to apologize for a viral O-H-I-O chant that took an R-rated turn during Indiana's Big Ten Championship celebration at Lucas Oil Stadium last December after the Hoosiers' win over Ohio State.
"That was uncharacteristic of me," Becker told Day after the game on the field. "I’ve been thinking a lot about it. I'm really sorry about that. That's not me, and I’m sorry to you and Ohio State."

As noted by IndyStar, part of the USA TODAY Network, Becker's dad, David, was a former Buckeye linebacker. But despite his connection to the Ohio State program, the 6-4 wide receiver was never recruited out of high school by the Buckeyes.
On Saturday, Becker finished with a game-high nine catches for 165 receiving yards.
The loss handed the Hoosiers their first defeat since falling to Notre Dame in the first round of the College Football Playoff on Dec. 20, 2024, snapping a 22-game winning streak that had been the longest active streak in the FBS.
Indiana, which is expected to drop in the US LBM Coaches Poll, travels to Michigan for a noon ET kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 24.
