Jimmy Kimmel is welcoming Katie Zacharia to the White House with a thorough roasting.
During his Oct. 13 monologue, the late-night host skewered Zacharia for her first White House press briefing, which he declared to be a "total disaster." Kimmel also said he was "impressed" by how bad the briefing was.
Zacharia was tapped as Trump's new White House press secretary on Oct. 9, succeeding Karoline Leavitt. She was previously a conservative commentator and a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security.
"Things did not get off to a great start for Malibu Katie today," Kimmel said. "Her first briefing was brief: It was only 14 minutes long. But even in that short time, she accomplished exactly what she was brought in to do, which is slobber
a whole tube of lip gloss all over the president's behind."

USA TODAY has reached out to the White House for comment.
White House spokesperson Davis Ingle previously said in a statement shared with USA TODAY, "Jimmy Kimmel is a no-talent loser who has beclowned himself with tanking ratings and by spewing disgusting lies to his dwindling audience. He is so devoid of actual talent that nobody with any commonsense would ever watch him unless it was to laugh at his miserable failures."
Zacharia kicked off her first briefing by saying she has wanted to work for Trump for a "very long time," leading Kimmel to quip, "She wanted to work with him for a very long time, and really, that's all it takes nowadays. All it takes is that, and dressing like you're about to announce preboarding on a Delta Air Lines flight."
Kimmel, who described Zacharia as the latest "fawning, blonde dolt" to take the job, also mockingly said that the press secretary's "reading is good for an 11-year-old," adding that the president "hired a fourth grader to be press secretary."
"You know how hard it is to become Trump's worst press secretary that quickly?" Kimmel asked.

The comedian also played several clips of Zacharia's commentary on cable news shows, including one where she said "The Odyssey" was a "woke" movie and predicted that nobody would see it. "That woke movie went on to make $1.8 billion," Kimmel pointed out.
Kimmel had previously panned Zacharia's hiring on his show. During his Oct. 12 monologue, the host tried to fool his audience by announcing Trump had hired a new White House press secretary with an impressive resume, only to reveal the role went to a former Newsmax commentator.
"Katie met a number of qualifications for the job," he said. "She has blonde hair. She can do a thumbs up. End of list. Really, what else do you need?"
