Tyreek Hill could be nearing his much-anticipated NFL return.
Drew Rosenhaus, the agent of the eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday, Oct. 5, that he plans to begin negotiations with multiple teams on a contract for his client, with the Kansas City Chiefs expected to figure prominently in talks.
“I would anticipate Tyreek potentially signing with a team over the next few days,” Rosenhaus said.
Hill has remained unsigned as he recovers from a September 2025 severe left knee dislocation that included multiple ligament tears. He was released by the Miami Dolphins in February.
The news of Hill's potential return comes just one day after the Chiefs lost speedy starting receiver Tyquan Thornton to what multiple reports
said was a dislocated left ankle. Thornton was carted off from the Chiefs' 30-27 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, during which the team also saw receiver Rashee Rice exit due to a hamstring injury.
Even prior to those injuries, however, the Chiefs had maintained contact with Hill, ESPN reported. The five-time All-Pro selection spent the first six years of his career in Kansas City, flourishing as a field-stretching weapon for Patrick Mahomes.
An exact timeline for Hill's recovery remains unclear, but the receiver posted on X last week, "It’s almost time to get off the couch and get to work."
