TikTok was right, this viral mattress vacuum is worth the hype, and it's one I am recommending everyone get it for their homes.
I will be the first to admit that I was skeptical about getting a vacuum dedicated to mattress cleaning. But once I used it once and saw just how much crud it picked up, I was shocked. I even keep a mattress protector on at all times and change my sheets weekly, but just one swipe of this vacuum picked up so much dust, dinge and dirt.
Mattresses aren't it's only use. Once I figured out how well it worked, I went to town on my couch, kitchen chairs, bench, throw pillows and curtains. It sucked all the hair and dirt off with ease, and I had to empty the tank more than once as I got the job done.

What I liked about the FEPPO mattress vacuum
I'm pretty sure my mouth was agape the entire time I had this mattress vacuum running. The suction power, ease of use, weight and effectiveness exceeded all my expectations.
Here's what I loved about this FEPPO mattress vacuum:
- It actually works: I have two large black dogs, so you better believe pet hair is everywhere (even though I vacuum literally every day). FEPPO say's it's not rated for pet hair, but I still saw it work. In mere seconds, this vacuum sucked up even the most stubborn dog hair that would have normally taken me and a lint roller well over an hour to get done.
- It's cordless: My pet peeve as mom who is constantly cleaning is a cord that limits my cleaning power. This mattress vacuum is cordless, meaning it can go anywhere without tying you to an outlet.
- It's lightweight: At just over two and a half pounds, this vacuum is about as lightweight as it gets. During my 30 minutes of rage cleaning, my arm never got tired hauling it around.
- Multiple uses: Although it's marketed for mattress cleaning, I found it also works super well on other upholstery, like couches, chairs, curtains and benches. Just make sure to check your furniture's tags and cleaning recommendations before trying it. If you can't find the instructions, try the vacuum on a small corner before going all in.
- Charges fairly quickly: After about an hour of charging the vacuum was back at full charge and I could keep cleaning literally all my furniture.
- It's a good price: These mattress vacuums range from $70 to $100, and you can get a great deal on them when they go on sale.
How the FEPPO mattress vacuum works
FEPPO's mattress vacuum is incredible easy to use. Mine came charged to 56%, and that was enough to clean my entire mattress, couch, rocking chair, dining nook bench and kitchen chairs. I probably could have kept going and done all my curtains in that same go, but ran out of time.
The vacuum has two main suction settings: Eco and Boost. The Eco mode is great for quick swipes to clean your mattress, whereas the Boost setting provides a little extra power to really suck up the crud. Boost does drain battery faster, so keep that in mind as you clean.
But it does more than just clean, it integrates 253.7nm UV-C light and high-frequency ultrasonic waves to reach deep into mattress layers. With this technology FEPPO says it effectively removes 99.9% of unseen substances. And judging by how much stuff it picked up off my mattress, I'd say that's true.
How it compares with using a normal vacuum
The main differences between this mattress vacuum and a normal vacuum are the size and functionality. Whereas larger vacuums usually come with nozzles for cleaning the floor, a thin hose for sucking up dust and brushes, this mattress vacuum just has the one cleaning section.
However, FEPPO's mattress vacuum is specifically designed for mattresses, meaning the brush is engineered to deep clean a mattress. Other vacuums can't stack up to that.
What I didn't love
The one downside is how fast the battery drains. As I used it, I watched the battery level go down every few seconds. While it was enough time to clean my mattress, couch, curtains and throw pillows, it would have needed to be recharged if I went another five minutes.
If you don't have much for home appliance storage, then you might have to make room for this handheld vacuum. While the design is compact, it will still take up a good foot of shelf space.
How much does the FEPPO mattress vacuum cost?
FEPPO mattress vacuum cleaners generally cost $75 to about $130. However, you can often find them majorly on sale.
Is the Feppo mattress vacuum worth it?
Overwhelmingly yes. I'm not one to recommend yet another cleaning appliance unless absolutely necessary. And I'll be honest, I fell in love with this one.
With it's lightweight design, cordless use, UV-C light and specially engineered brushes, it's a handheld vacuum that deserves its own spot in your cleaning closet.
