Sprouts Farmers Market continues to grow and a new store could soon be opening near you.
The Arizona-based grocery chain opened its first location in Chandler, Arizona in 2002 and currently operates more than 480 stores across 25 states, according to the company's website. Sprouts focuses on fresh, natural and organic foods and also offers fresh, ready-to-eat lunch options such as sushi, deli sandwiches and wellness bowls.
The company told USA TODAY via email it is on track to open 42 new stores in 2026, with 24 of those openings coming between now and the end of 2026. This comes after 37 new Sprouts locations opened their doors in 2025. The chain opened its first store in New York earlier this year – on Long Island – with a second store set to open in the state
in September.
That location, scheduled to open in Hartsdale, New York on Sept. 4, will be the chain's 500th location, the company told USA TODAY.
