President Donald Trump is joining Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in Alamo City.
Paxton announced on X that the “Midterm Rally” will take place Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio. Doors are scheduled to open at 2:30 p.m. CT/1:30 p.m. MT, with remarks beginning at 6 p.m. CT/5 p.m. MT.
“This Wednesday, I'm joining President Donald J. Trump in San Antonio for a Rally to keep Texas red and keep America First,” Paxton wrote on X, sharing a photo of himself shaking hands with the president.
Trump's appearance comes as Republicans ramp up campaigning in Texas ahead of the midterm elections, with Paxton facing DemocratJames Talarico in the race for U.S. Senate.
Attendees can reserve spots for the event online through the Republican

Trump’s upcoming appearance with Paxton comes days after the president made a visit to Peterbilt Motors facility in Denton, Texas.
While speaking at the plant on Oct. 1, Trump praised Paxton but said the attorney general “could be a pain in the ass sometimes.” Trump quickly followed the remark by calling Paxton “the greatest attorney general in the United States of America” and urging voters to support his Senate bid.

The appearance also comes amid scrutiny over Paxton’s private comments about Trump’s midterm convention in Dallas.
The New York Times reported that Paxton told donors the convention had hurt Republican candidates’ poll numbers, saying the event “dropped our numbers.” Paxton’s campaign pushed back on the report, calling it “manipulated nonsense.”
