Princess Kate is bringing royal glamour to the British countryside.
Kensington Palace released three new portraits on Friday, Oct. 16, showing the future queen posing outdoors, her trademark brunette curls flowing past her shoulders.
The images, taken by Josh Shinner in Cornwall on Thursday, Oct.15, were shared as the princess announced a new project celebrating the power of nature and how it can be harnessed to help support young children and babies as they develop and build new life skills.
"New scientific research shows just how important nature is for our physical and psychological wellbeing," the princess said in an Instagram post. "Nature is such an extraordinary environment for us all and, in this tech-driven, digital age, spending quality
time outdoors has never been more important," she continued.

The mother-of-three kept it casual for the photoshoot, donning a khaki jacket and plum colored sweater with a floral shirt underneath. She was of course, wearing her huge sapphire engagement ring from husband Prince William, which remained proudly on her finger in June, even as shescaled the three highest peaks in Great Britain for charity.
Shinner has frequently captured key moments inside the Wales family and is a photographer the royals trust deeply, allowing him into their tight-knit circle. Last year, he photographed the family of five for their 2025 Christmas card, showing them cuddled up together in a meadow, surrounded by daffodils.

Princess Kate portraits come amid Harry, Meghan public appearance
The portraits of Kate in woodland were taken on the same day Prince Harry, Kate's estranged brother-in-law, stepped out for his first joint public appearance with wife Duchess Meghan since they returned to Britain in August.
On social media, many commented to praise the initiative, thanking the princess for using her platform to encourage others to take the role of nature seriously, especially in the lives of young people.
"Such a fantastic investment in the wellbeing of the next generation! We know only too well how important a daily dose of nature can be," The World Wide Fund for Nature UK wrote on Instagram.

While the Sussex couple were met with crowds and members of the media, William and Kate kept their trip under wraps. The Wales journeyed to Cornwall, more than 200 miles from their home in Berkshire, ahead of the project's launch.
Kate has commissioned the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood to work with a team of experts to understand how nature-rich environments can help enrich children's wellbeing, including their emotional growth. The project is supported by William's Duchy of Cornwall organization.
The princess has long highlighted the importance of the great outdoors, sharing in a video released last year that nature had been her "sanctuary" amid her cancer diagnosis and treatment.
"Connecting to nature helps us to experience a deeper sense of ourselves, the world around us, and each other," she said in the video message.
