Kelly Ripa is planning ahead, and Mark Consuelos is taking notes.
The "Live With Kelly and Mark" hosts discussed Ripa's future funeral in an Oct. 7 episode of their morning talk series while discussing a story about a woman who planned her own arrangements while she was alive.
Ripa, 56, shared that she has a list of requirements for how she wants her loved ones to celebrate her life and detailed what Consuelos, 55, is expected to do – and what he is forbidden from doing.
For starters, she said, "It's going to be a destination [funeral]."
Consuelos asked whether he's "in charge of getting you dressed," which Ripa quickly shut down. She clarified that her husband of three decades will not be "in charge" of her funeral as the responsibility will fall
on longtime show producer Michael Gelman.
"No! If Gelman is throwing my funeral, my stylist is getting me dressed," Ripa said.

What will Mark Consuelos be doing at Kelly Ripa's funeral?
Ripa has instructed Consuelos that all she expects from him in terms of her funeral is a lovely eulogy.
"Just to be clear, I'm not in charge of getting you ready for the funeral? I'm not in charge of that?" Consuelos said.
Ripa replied: "Put everybody in charge of what they’re typically in charge of. Everybody has their typical jobs. You be there, you eulogize, say nice things."
Consuelos lost the right to dress her after Ripa previously passed out one day and the "Riverdale" actor dressed her for the hospital, she quipped. Ripa arrived at the emergency room sporting a green leotard and soccer pants with high-heeled shoes.
"Let me just say, I sailed in right past the gunshot victims because I looked so bad," Ripa said.
Mark Consuelos is back at show after major toe surgery
The couple's banter comes a week after Consuelos returned to "Live with Kelly and Mark" following a major injury with one of his toes.
Consuelos said he put off a toe surgery for about a year to treat his turf toe, which he said he dealt with for years from playing soccer. He previously revealed he had a similar operation on his other foot about 15 years ago and the recovery was especially difficult.
In a Sept. 25 episode, Consuelos told viewers he was heading to the hospital right after the broadcast ended for a procedure to remove a bone spur from his toe at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
On a knee scooter, he rolled onto the set in the Sept. 28 episode and said, "I thought for sure there was a 90% chance I wouldn't be here." He said that within about 24 hours, he was able to stop taking pain medication, making for a much faster recovery process.
