Philadelphia Phillies will be without Luis Arraez for their National League wild-card series against the Atlanta Braves.
Manager Don Mattingly told reporters that Arraez, the team's prized acquisition from the trade deadline, will not be on their roster when they start their best-of-three series against their NL East rival.
Arraez suffered a sprained left ankle during Philadelphia's Sept. 24 game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He missed the rest of the final week and finished with a .310 batting average, the sixth time in his eight-year career that he has hit .300 or better in a season.
