Police released body camera footage and audio from a 911 call related to a deadly shooting at a Citibank office campus in Tampa, Florida, that left two people dead, including the suspect, officials say.
On the afternoon of Nov. 4, a gunman rammed a car through a fenced part of the Citibank Center campus before approaching a woman and fatally shooting her, according to local law enforcement. The suspect, who has not been identified, was fatally shot by a security guard in the building's cafeteria, police said. Four other people were injured in the attack.
“This was a tragic situation where a victim was killed by an individual who was intent on killing as many people as possible," Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement.
“Thanks to the brave actions by the security team on-site and more than 365 deputies, this unhinged suspect was stopped before he could harm anyone else.”
Police have not revealed a possible motive for the shooting but said they believe it was a "targeted incident." Chronister said investigators were working to determine whether the gunman knew the woman, whose name has not been released publicly. Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser identified the woman as an employee in an internal memo to staff.

'Shooter is down'
The recording shows the panic that ensued after the suspect crashed a car into an outdoor dining area and opened fire. More than 3,200 people were on the campus when the gunfire broke out just after 12 p.m. ET, Chronister said.
"We are in the Citibank office in Tampa and somebody is shooting," a woman told a 911 dispatcher. Later, a law enforcement official told dispatchers the building was being evacuated after reports of a possible shooting.
The body camera footage shows a sheriff's deputy responding to the scene. As the deputy passes office workers fleeing the area, he asked, "What does he look like?" referring to the shooter. He soon came upon the crashed vehicle outside the cafeteria before he was told that the suspect was inside and "possibly down."

After entering the cafeteria, several people pointed the deputy to the alleged gunman on the ground. Authorities later said the gunman was shot by a Citibank armed security guard and pronounced dead at a local hospital.
"This is him, the bad guy right here," one person told the deputy, standing beside the suspect.
"I have the shooter inside. Shooter is down, shooter is down," the deputy reported to dispatchers. The recordings ended with video of employees being evacuated, walking off the campus with their hands above their heads.
Authorities ask witnesses for videos, evidence

More than 400 law enforcement personnel responded to the scene, including over 350 Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies. Officials urged witnesses to send any recordings they may have of the incident to investigators.
In the attack, at least four other people were hurt and taken to a hospital to be treated for unspecified, non-life-threatening injuries, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Frank Losat said at a news conference. He did not elaborate on how those individuals were hurt.
Losat commended the security guard for his training, which he said potentially saved many others lives.
"Kudos to that security guard," Losat said.
