Miami is currently holding their No. 1 spot in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll for college football. After they host an unranked UNC on Halloween, the Miami Hurricanes will travel to face No. 5 Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
There's been a curse on No. 1 teams this season, it seems, especially when it comes to unranked matchups. So, it's impossible to tell if Miami will still be No. 1 when they arrive at Notre Dame Stadium. But, it's a key matchup anyway as Notre Dame is also in the top five.
Notre Dame is coming off their first loss of the season when they fell, 28-24, to No. 8 BYU. But, they have a redemption game before they face Miami. The Fighting Irish will face Navy at Gillette Stadium
on Halloween.
